Here's my newest DA ID! ^__^.

I'm really happy with how this one turned out. Like planned I went with a less traditional, more graphic arts/CG style ID. The whole thing was drawn in tribute to one of my newest favourite mangaka, Kubo Tite, artist of the Bleach series. The whole pose idea was referenced off one of his chapter covers, and I used my own character instead. The colouring style is meant to complement the stylized feel of this type of art, and I was inspired by many coloured Bleach manga pages by Aile M.

This ID features my OC, Kaliko Rosa, symbolizing the predicament we all live through at one point or other. I'm 18... so now what? That's basically what I'm living through as I undergo the pressures of moving out, going to post-secondary, saving money, going to work, paying bills etc. Her lost expression shows how we sometimes don't even know where we're going, even though we walk forwards. The "word shadow" is in the shape of a frenzied person. The words in the shadow show the many things that run through my mind, things that are either important to me, fun, stressful etc. They are all elements that crowd my mind from time to time, or conflict with each other.

I thought this idea would be fun, fresh and different for my DA ID. It also shows a style that I'm getting more comfortable with. My next upload (quilava's kiriban prize) will be done in a similar, but more serious style. I like how happy this one is though. Hopefully it will last until next year
