My Comments:

*faint... ker-plonk*

By the time I've written this comment, it's already been quite a few months since I've painted this, but regardless, I can still remember how agonizingly LONG it took! This is my most recent painting, and the most intricate I've done so far. I had just finished watching the Fushigi Yuugi series not long before, and I decided for this to be my main tribute. I really liked the whole aspect of the Suzaku seishi, so that's what I really wanted this painting to focus on, while also incorporating some scenic elements for me to experiment with.

The characters probably took the longest to do, second only to the background. They were drawn based off of manga pictures and colours, to keep their hair colours more natural. The outfit I put them in is a random mixture of what I've seen based off of Watase Yuu's manga pictures. Although the Seiryu Seven are the ones who normally wear blue, and the Suzaku Seishi *should* be wearing red, I decided to change the colours because the red would fade into the background too easily. So those seven cuties are still Suzaku-patriots, don't worry ;)! I'm not too sure why Tamahome and Hotohori came out looking like such grump-fumps, I guess it's because Miaka isn't around, HA! XD (that was intentional, *GRIN* I don't really like her, X3)

The background itself took quite a while, but was really fun! I wanted to really give it that China-esque theme. The flowers at the front were kinda rushed, but by then I was practically sick of this art, X3 . Overall, I'm quite happy with it. But I can't say I like my scanning job, it got all blurry round the middle, XD. Hope you liked it and thanks for viewing!

Peace. Love. Anime.

I think that this is absolutly incredible! I don't know anyone else who could do this, and I can only imagen how much hard work went into this. Everything about was amazing and the backround was something else completly! I think this is fabulous, so thank you for posting. This is, by far, the best painting I have seen in years!

Hi there,

Thanks for the kind words. It means a lot to me! I really do miss making art like this. I remember when I went to sell my art years ago, this one stayed on the wall on my display for sometime, and I was relieved thinking that I could keep it. But I ended up selling it for like 20 bucks or something, should have kept it instead T_T.

Aw thank you. Looking back on it, yeah watercolours do stick out from traditional CG media, huh? I don't do much traditional anymore, but you're comment makes me think I shoudl revisit it! :)

Ohh... myyy.... goodddd..... The coloring in this is avsolutely beautiful!!! I feel like it's the most beautiful thing I've seen in a LONG time... maybe one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen period!!! And I love how you kept their natural hair colors as opposed to the anime coloring. I try to do that too ^^- You're absolutely wonderful! Good show!!!

While I don't know why this showed up in my messages as a new painting, I'm glad it did! As with all your works I LOVE the color. The mountians in the background and the flowers in the forground are truly breathtaking! And I am amazed you could do such great work on the faces with a brush. (I know people can do it, but it still amazes me!) The shading on the faces really adds depth. Of course all the shading is very nice and subtle but the way you managed it on the faces with the skin tones really sticks out in my mind.

WOW. I can tell this must've taken a hell of a lot of work and time, even without you saying it. Sheesh. Wow... It's amazing! You should sell prints of this at a con! I'm sure they would be well-received.

Actually, this FY painting was already sold this year at Anime North ^^. It's actually pretty old... lol, I think DA just updated everyone a devwatch thingie because I re-uploaded the piccy ^^; ; Oh well, can't complain! lol. I made... two photocopies of it full size, which did sell, and the original too for 15 bucks, X3. It was sold to this CUTE little like.. 12 year old kid who couldn't decide whether he wanted it or not and kept returning. I was actually fascinated by him. You know, young adolescent boy aspiring to own an art collection? Unique, for sure! ^^.

Peace. Love. Anime.

Fushigi Yugi! My all time favorite anime. *grins* Just need two OVA's and I got the whole thing. ^^;;anyway, wow! Your drawings never cease to amaze me...nor, it seems, does your painting skills. XD I like the look Nuriko is giving Tasuki. I dunno. Maybe I've got N/T on my mind from them being the main characters in my yaoi fanfic. @.@. Mits looks really good too! *glomps Mits* Poor baby, his funniest part was telling Hotohori he was popular with the men. XD. I wanna re-watch it...

this is one of those pictures that really does say 1,000 words..... but I don't have that much space, so I'm just gonna say that every part of it is amazing & stare at it in awe. *stares in awe* *drools* *wuvs Nuriko-sama*

but that's seriously gotta be the single best bg ever. -^_______^-

BEAUTIFUL, I say! The landscape is gorgeous, and I love the way the sunlight bathes everything. Fushigi Yuugi, another anime that has escaped my grasp :P (Lick) Awesome work!! ^___^ *frolics away*

Absolutely gorgeous work, your skills are amazing, the painting looks wonderful. I'm a huge fan of Fushigi Yuugi and you've done a great job portraying the Suzaku Seven, they all look great. The background is also stunning.

Ooh... I like that. Painting is beyond my meager skills, but this is really nice. But then, you've got my favourite dude of all time in there, Chichiri... though Nuriko comes pretty close. The background is amazing, though... Major sweetness. Big kudos!
